Choose a wall or open end of the room where guests will not need to walk behind the performer. Keep doors, food tables and high-traffic paths away from that focal area when possible.
Seat children together
A floor-seated children’s audience can feel more connected and leaves chairs available for adults behind them. Avoid spreading children around the room, where side conversations become more likely.
