  • Lakewood Recreation party rooms. Lakewood Recreation offers birthday party packages at Carmody and the Lakewood Link. Each package includes an activity (pool, climbing or gymnastics parties are available) and time in a party room, and you can bring your own food. Green Mountain Recreation Center rents rooms for parties too: the aerobics and dance room holds 35, and a half gym holds 50. Rec centers set their own rules for outside entertainers, so check with the facility when you book the room.
  • Park shelters. Bear Creek Lake Park and Addenbrooke Park have reservable shelters for summer parties. Belmar Park, home of Heritage Lakewood, and William Frederick Hayden Park on Green Mountain are close by for family outings.
  • Climbing parties. The Lakewood Link climbing wall hosts Saturday parties for ages three and up, with time in a classroom afterward. Book at least two weeks ahead. A short magic show is a fun way to fill the party-room part of the afternoon.
