  • Apex Park and Recreation District. The Apex Center offers party packages on Fridays through Sundays, with a reserved party room and aquatics admission. Its Party Room is 960 square feet, holds 48 and comes set up with child-size tables. Secrest Recreation Center rents its gym and activity room for two-hour parties outside the summer months. Rec centers set their own rules for outside entertainers, so check with the facility when you book the room.
  • City park pavilions. The City of Arvada has 11 reservable pavilions, available April 1 to September 30 and booked at least three days ahead. Examples are Lake Arbor (20 guests), Robby Ferrufino (25), Mechelen at Memorial Park (45), Oak (50) and Allen House (100). There are no permanent restrooms at these parks, and bounce houses aren’t allowed, so a magic show and balloon art make an easy centerpiece.
  • First-come spots. The pavilions at Ralston Central Park and Splash Pad can’t be reserved, so plan an early start if you want a table there.

Can you perform in the Apex Center party room?

The Apex Center Party Room holds 48 and connects to the pool. Weekend party packages include the room and aquatics admission. If Apex allows an outside entertainer for your booking, the magic show fits well in the party-room time. Ask Apex first, then tell Keir your time slot.

Can we have the show at an Arvada park pavilion?

Yes. The City of Arvada rents 11 pavilions from April 1 to September 30, booked at least three days ahead, with capacities from 20 to 100. Bounce houses aren’t permitted in Arvada parks, but a magic show and balloon twisting are an easy alternative. Tell Keir which pavilion you’ve booked.
