What child doesn’t love playing games? Games are always a huge hit at children’s birthday parties, so you will definitely want to have some planned for your kid’s big day! Here are some great, classic games that go with any party theme.
Classic Games for Your Child’s Birthday Party
- Egg Relay Race: When you yell “go,” the first child in each of two teams tries their hardest to balance a hard-boiled egg on a spoon, walks about five feet to a marker, goes back, and passes the egg and spoon to the next child in line. The first team to finish with the egg still in tact wins!
- Treasure Hunt: Kids follow the first clue, such as “Go to the kitchen,” to find the next clue, such as “Head over to the big tree in the front yard,” and so on, until the last clue reveals the treasure: goodie bags, of course! For those who can’t quite read yet, simply draw or take a picture of the clues.
- Obstacle Course: The birthday guests make their way through a series of challenges set up in the backyard: walking along a two-by-four, bouncing through hopscotch, crawling under the length of a picnic table, doing a wheelbarrow walk, and so forth.
- Dress-Up Race: Fill up two trash bags with clothes, such as a skirt, shirt, hat, gloves, and jewelry. The first child in each team to put on every item (and fastening all of the buttons!), will then take them off and return them back to the bag. Then it’s on to the next child to dress-up. The first team to finish wins!
